The team at The Victorian Cosmetic Institute consists of specialised cosmetic doctors, cosmetic and plastic surgeons, nurses and beauty therapists. Dr. Gavin Chan (MBBS, cosmetic physician, cosmetic surgeon)

Templestowe and Berwick Clinics

Dr. Gavin Chan has a background in intensive care, anaesthesia, and emergency medicine. Since 2004, Dr. Chan has specialised in cosmetic procedures, including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, liposuction, skin needling, and laser treatments including; laser skin rejuvenation,  laser tattoo removal, laser resurfacing, and photodynamic therapy. He is one of Allergan's doctor trainers for dermal fillers. He is the current Victorian representative for the  Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia (CPSA), and is on their advisory panel. He holds a diploma in cosmetic medicine from the Australasian College or Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS). Dr. Chan has a special interest in the non-surgical rejuvenation of the face with dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections.

Dr. Natasha Moscato (MBBS, FRACGP, cosmetic physician)

Dr. Natasha Moscato has a background in general practice and women's health. She now specialises solely in cosmetic medicine. Dr. Moscato is well experienced in anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, laser treatments . She has a special interest in the use of dermal fillers to rejuvenate and shape the face, and injectable lip enhancement. She sees cosmetic medicine as an art as well as a science, and has a good eye and a steady hand for the creation of beauty.

Dr. Sara Mullen has previously worked in general practice and family planning. She now works solely in cosmetic medicine and has been with the Victorian Cosmetic Institute since 2007. She has a keen interest in all aspects of cosmetic medicine, and in particular anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, laser treatments, and overall non-surgical rejuvenation of the face. She believes that the best cosmetic outcomes are natural and enhancing, ultimately improving her patients sense of self and well being.

Dr. Terri Labberton has worked in general practice as well as a specialised clinic for treating cancers using photodynamic therapy. She has trained in alternative medicine, acupuncture, and the use of bio-identical hormones. She has a keen interest in cosmetic medicine, and in facial rejuvenation.

Dr Cynthia Boudeville has a background in general practice. She is an easygoing, friendly and enthusiastic doctor. She is passionate about  cosmetic medicine and firmly believes that it can lead to  enhancements in one's self esteem,  confidence and well-being, with flow on effects to significant improvements in one's personal and professional life. Dr. Boudeville enjoys all areas of cosmetic medicine including skin care, scar & keloid treatments, anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, laser resurfacing, and the use of  lasers to treat and remove port wine stains, acne scarring, tattoos, and  hyperhidrosis. Dr. Boudeville's hobbies include cooking, arts & crafts and watching whodunits.

Dr Sandy Fieldhouse has a background in emergency medicine and general practice, and has been working in the field of cosmetic medicine for ten years. She has extensive experience in all aspects of cosmetic medicine, including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, sclerotherapy and laser treatments. She has an active practice in mental health as well as cosmetic medicine, maintaining a keen interest in both fields. Dr Fieldhouse works with each patient individually in order to understand their wants and needs, and believes that cosmetic medicine should give enhancing and natural results.

Dr. Jonathan Brown (BM, FRACGP, MRCGP (UK), DRCOG, cosmetic physician)

Dr Jonathan Brown is a Doctor from the UK who trained in General Practice before specialising in cosmetics. He has an interest in dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle injections, management of acne and rosacea. Dr. Brown has the Certificate of Primary Care skin cancer medicine from the University of Queensland and is able to assess and remove moles and skin lesions.

Jonathan is a keen sportsperson and has been a competitive runner for over 20 years. He plays touch rugby and soccer and loves to keep fit.

Dr. Somaiye Kadivar (BMBS, cosmetic physician)

Dr. Somaiye Kadivar completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in the USA. She then graduated from Flinders School of Medicine in Adelaide in November 2002, finishing her residency in 2004 at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide. Previously, she has worked in emergency medicine, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, travel medicine, immigration doing medical examinations, corporate medicine, and general practice. She now specialises in cosmetic medicine and anti-aging medicine. She enjoys staying fit, travelling, learning fun new skills like surfing, scuba diving and, during winter, knitting.

Dr. Bruce Fox (MBBS, FACCS*, FRACGP*, FFRARACS*, FANZCA*,  cosmetic surgeon)

Dr Fox has been performing cosmetic surgery for over 25 years and during that time has been at the forefront of introducing innovative cosmetic surgery procedures to Australia. Dr Fox was initially trained by the international pioneers of the procedures that he performs.

Plastic surgeons, other cosmetic surgeons and general practitioners have all referred patients to him and his own patients also refer their friends and relatives.

Dr Fox and his staff are committed to providing safe, effective and minimally-invasive cosmetic surgery techniques. Dr Fox’s skills are complemented by an experienced and friendly team. We support patients from their first inquiry through to their final postoperative follow-up.

Dr Bruce Fox has many years of experience in Laser  Cosmetic  Surgery. He has help pioneer many of the latest techniques in Australia while keeping up to date with the latest methods and technology.

Daniela Munro (RN Div 2, Director of nursing Templestowe clinic)

Daniela graduated from Nursing at RMIT University. She works in a variety of specialty settings including peri-operative nursing, IVF and cosmetic medicine. She has been working as a cosmetic nurse since 2003 and for the Victorian Cosmetic Institute since 2006. Daniela is caring, gentle, has a great sense of humour, a wealth of knowledge and keen interest in cosmetic procedures including chemical peels, and laser hair removal. She has also completed courses in the administration of injectable medications as well as having been trained extensively to work in operating theatres.

Fiona Castelow (RN Div 2, cosmetic nurse, dermal clinician)

Fiona is from a diverse background, having completed her nursing degree as well as a degree in clinical dermal therapy. She has a particular interest in lasers and their use in the treatment of skin, hair, and tattoos. Another passion of Fiona's is skin care, and she is well researched in the various active skin care ingredients and their uses.

Marta Mcneill (RN Div 1, cosmetic nurse)

Marta is a registered nurse with over five years experience in adult and paediatric emergency nursing. She has a keen interest in cosmetic procedures and specialises in laser hair removal and facial treatments, especially chemical peels.  

Laura Cook (RN Div 1, cosmetic nurse)

Laura has a background in surgical nursing, but also has experience in other specialty areas.  She has recently returned from New Zealand where she predominantly cared for those seeking surgical cosmetic enhancement.  She has a strong interest in non-surgical cosmetic procedures, especially laser hair removal and chemical peels, and enjoys assisting the doctors with more complex procedures.  

Johanna Shepherd (Dermal Clinician)

Johanna is a Dermal Clinician who has worked in a wide variety of areas in the cosmetic industry and has 6 years experience.  Johanna is particularly interested in lasers and peels and their use in the treatment of skin.  She is also extremely interested and well versed in the ingredients and use of cosmeceutical products.

Zoe Howse (RN Div 1, Director of Nursing Berwick clinic)

Zoe is a Division 1 nurse who graduated from Melbourne University. She has been nursing since 2003, and has previously worked in a variety of specialty settings including medical/surgical wards, anaesthetics and emergency. She has a friendly and caring nature, and a keen interest in cosmetic nursing. She has been working in the cosmetic industry for nearly two years, and specialises in laser treatments, chemical peels, and enjoys assisting doctors with more complex procedures.

Amanda Tierney (RN Div 1, cosmetic nurse)

Amanda is Division 1 nurse who studied at Deakin University and has worked in Psychiatry and General Practice, she has worked in the medical industry for 5 years. Amanda is also a qualified make up artist and is passionate about making people look as good as they feel. She enjoys mixing her passion for cosmeceuticals and nursing together.

Felicity West is a Division 1 nurse who studied at Monash University.  She has over 3 years experience working in a variety of clinical settings including medical, surgical and emergency.  Felicity has a keen interest in cosmetic nursing and is passionate about delivering the highest standard of care. 


Kimberly Anderson (RN Div 1, cosmetic nurse)

Kimberly Anderson is a Registered Nurse with over 8 years of experience. She has experience in a wide variety of clinical settings including palliative and aged care, medical and surgical nursing, emergency nursing and mental health care. Kimberly enjoys working at The Victorian Cosmetic Institute with their hollistic approach to addressing patient concerns and educating on cause and prevention.

Muriel Webb (beauty therapist)

Muriel has worked at The Victorian Cosmetic Institute since 2005. She has a kind and understanding attitude towards patients.  She has completed several skin care courses including a 3 day master class covering peels, skin conditions, products and their ingredients. Also trained in iontophoresis (galvanic infusion),  Epinova facial peels,  Pellevé skin tightening treatments,  LED phototherapy and Microdermabrasion. 

Kellie Dalton (beauty therapist)

Kellie has a diploma in beauty therapy and is currently studying Dermal Therapies at Victoria University. She specialises in advanced facial treatments including cosmetic peels, microdermabrasion, iontophoresis (galvanic infusion), and manual lymph drainage massage. Kellie believes in knowledge and education and shares a particular interest in effective cosmeceutical products and skin care treatments.

 

Paula Bigaignon (RN Div 1, cosmetic nurse)

Paula is a Division 1 nurse who studied at the Australian Catholic University. She has worked in a variety of settings including medical, surgical and high dependency unit. Paula has a keen interest in cosmetic nursing and loves to help people feel and look great. She enjoys travelling, shopping and dancing, and has been a dancer for 20 years.

Katherine Breen (RN Div 2, cosmetic nurse)

Katherine is a division 2 nurse with medication and injectable endorsement. Katherine has had 5 years experience in aged care, before switching to the cosmetic industry. Katherine enjoys working as a cosmetic nurse and assisting in theatre. Katherine loves the satisfaction of seeing positive changes to peoples lives through cosmetic treatment. She is a keen skier and highly enjoys travelling.

Margaret Hyland (RN Div 2, theatre nurse)

Margaret is a nurse with over 20 years experience. Included in that are over 10 years as a theatre nurse. As well as her nursing certificate she holds a certificate in applied social science, hyperbaric nursing, and a diploma in health counselling. Margaret joined The Victorian Cosmetic Institute in late 2009 and brings with her extensive knwledge in surgical techniques and procedures.
