 Lightening serums containing L-arbutin, a naturally occurring skin lightener and an alternative to hydroquinone.
 
It is less irritating than hydroquinone on the skin, and has less chance of causing rebound pigmentation if ceased, and there is no possibility of making the pigmentation worse (as can sometimes be seen with hydroquinone).
 
Also causes less inflammation than hydroquinone so it can be a good treatment for those with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
