Only chirally corrected L-Ascorbic acid is used in Essence and is delivered in a powder form so it is ideal for mixing with other serums. Essence uses advanced liposomal delivery with added L-glutathione to maximise antioxidant protection. This liposome coating allows increased penetration into the skin by 1000% (without coating there is only 2% penetration). Essence will also never oxidize, meaning maximum strength with each use while never irritating the skin.

L-ascorbic acid is the left handed molecule of vitamin C and the only molecule of Vitamin C which is proven to have an impact on the skin. It is a strong antioxidant and fibroblast stimulator.

L-Ascorbic acid is an effective antioxidant, as it scavenges and destroys reactive oxidizing and other free radicals. It provides protection against damage induced by UV radiation and improves skin elasticity.
