SPF 29 + (USA) sunblock moisturiser

Shelter is a moisturiser with some of the most active antioxidants for the skin, as well as a high SPF protection through silica coated Micronized Zinc This is a very safe sunblock ingredient as it does not break down and absorb into the body like Micronized Titanium and uncoated Zinc can.

Also contains soothing Shea butter, Lemon, Lime and Sweet Orange essential oils as well as hyauluronic acid.

Both titanium and zinc oxide can oxidize in the skin, creating inflammation above and beyond skin exposure unless the particles are coated in silica. Research suggests there may be toxicity associated with micronized and specifically nano-sized titanium and zinc as the penetration into blood possible. Silica coating makes particles inert therefore inactive/ non-toxic in the serum if any should reach that far.
