Tretinoin is a type of topical retinoid or Vitamin A. One of it's main functions is to speed up the skin cell turonver rate.  This improvement leads to less dead skin cells remaining on the surface of the skin, which can mean fewer blocked pores, less bacteria on the skin and therfore a clearer and smoother complexion. It can also help with some fine lines and mild pigmentation. This product, as with all Vitamin A products, should be used in conjunction with good sun protection and avoided during pregnancy.
