Watch Dr. Gavin
Chan perform a demonstration of cheek enhancement using a natural dermal filler. The
longevity of the procedure is from 6-12 months. The patient has had
anaesthetic nerve blocks prior to the treatment.
In this video, Dr. Gavin Chan of the Victorian Cosmetic Institute performs a dermal filler cheek enhancement. The actual treatment itself lasts for only a few minutes. Anesthetic nerve blocks are used before treatment begins so that the patient will feel little or no pain. It is that the woman undergoing the procedure is calm and not in pain.
The procedure begins with an injection in the upper, or apple, portion of cheek. Dr Chan injects the needle and then steadily moves it in and out of the area many times. When the needle is removed, there is a minimal amount of blood. This first injection area is the only area that bleeds.
The second injection site is mid-cheek and follows the same pattern as the first. An in and out motion of the needle occurs in conjunction with injection. A total of four areas are injected in this way, each with the patient showing no noticeable signs of pain.
The formal name of this procedure is dermal filler cheek enhancement. It is a short procedure undergone after an anesthetic has been delivered to the inject areas. There are a total of four injections. The doctor moves the needle in and out at each point of injection, but each injection lasts only 10-20 seconds.
