Medlite Laser Pigmentation Treatment Video

Dr. Natasha Moscato explains and demonstrates use of the Medlite laser for the treatment of pigmentation, melasma, fine hairs, and wrinkles.

In this video Dr. Natasha Moscato performs a "Medlite Facial" laser treatment at the Victorian Cosmetic Institute.

The treatment begins with the patient seated in a reclining chair. To protect their eyes from the laser, both Dr. Moscato and the patient (Laura) wear protective eyewear during the entire treatment. The Medlite laser is used to stimulate the collagen in the skin, improve pigmentation, reduce the fine lines and imperfections of the skin, and over all, rejuvenate the skin's appearance; all with little discomfort and minimal, to no downtime.

The Medlite Laser is adaptable, and is adjustable to target specific defects and imperfections of the skin. Dr. Moscato is able to control and change the different wavelengths to target collagen stimulation, and then change them again when bleaching facial hair or when targeting freckles. The patient, Laura, has fairly young skin, and is still able to benefit from the use of the laser treatment. Dr. Moscato begins the treatment by switching on the machine, and pointing the laser at the problem areas. Working in a back and forth and circular pattern, Dr. Moscato guides the laser over Laura's face. The laser's light emits its beam in a strobe like fashion, and is positioned over specific areas of imperfections for a longer period of time than the rest of the skin; resulting in a slight pinkness that generally fades within thirty minutes to an hour. The energy of the laser is also adjustable so that the discomfort the patient may feel can be controlled. If the laser becomes too warm, the Medlite system is equipped with a cooler fan that the patient can use to relieve the irritation.

The "Medlite Facial" is a quick procedure that can be performed on all skin colors, due to the versatility of the laser. The treatment is perfect for bleaching facial hair, stimulating collagen, improving skin pigmentation, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and overall skin rejuvenation. It is a quick and painless procedure with virtually no down time. The Medlite Laser produces all the benefits of more invasive procedures with none of the recovery time.
