Upper Face Anti Wrinkle Injections Video: Victorian Cosmetic Institute

In this video Dr. Jenny Kimmins provides a thorough description how anti-wrinkle injection treatments are used to treat areas of the upper face. While Dr. Kimmins?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ administers the treatment to a patient at, she provides an informative walkthrough of the areas covered by the treatment.

Dr Kimmins prepares for the treatment by analysing the patients face. First, Dr. Kimmins listed problem areas of wrinkles in the upper face of the naturally aged female patient. The most noticeable areas of wrinkles are horizontal forehead lines, crow's feet at the corners of the eyes, crinkles in the nose area, and frown lines between the brows. These lines are created by the repeated use of specific muscles throughout a lifetime, when someone makes a particular facial expression.

The best way for Dr. Kimmins to assess where injections are required is for her to visualise where problem lines occur on the patient's face. Thus, she has the patient go through a series of various facial expressions. When the patient smiled, she had very defined crow's feet around her eyes. When she frowned her brow line showed obvious lines, and deep lines were exposed across her forehead. When Dr. Kimmins asked the patient to smile even bigger, the patient also had crinkle lines on the upper bridge of her nose. Dr. Kimmins was able to easily decide where injections needed to be made, based on the depth of the lines she saw. The doctor also mentioned that she had to evaluate how strong the muscles used to make these facial expressions were, in order to gauge how much anti-wrinkle solution to inject.

Dr. Kimmins explained that often a slight brow lift would occur from the treatments. This effect in itself would be beneficial, as it aids in opening the eye area, by pulling the brows up from overshadowing. This frequently occurs when injecting into areas of where crow's feet are visible, or where frown lines are visible near the brow.

The treatment altogether was explained as very advantageous. The patient being analysed by Dr. Kimmins had deep lines in her forehead, between and above her eyebrows, at the corner of her eyes, and towards the top of the bridge of her nose. However, all of these areas can be successfully treated with anti-wrinkle injection treatment. This would help reverse the aging caused by muscles in the face, and provide the patient with a more youthful look all around.
