During the natural ageing process, you may have noticed volume has been lost in your face. This occurs as a result of the skin’s supportive network of elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid breaking down. When this happens the muscles that are pulling your face up become weaker and the muscles that pull your face down become stronger.

Dermal fillers are cosmetic injections that revolumise and restore areas of the face non-surgically. Many dermal filler options are made from a clear gel composed of a substance that is naturally found in skin. They vary with their thickness, viscosity, and longevity. We tend to use finer fillers in areas where your skin is fine and smoothness is critical, like your eye and temple area. The thicker ones can be injected deeper in areas that need more bulk and volume such as your cheeks or jaw line. In Australia, there are several filler brands to consider using. Cosmetic rejuvenation for men using laser treatments

Our highly trained and experienced Cosmetic Doctors and Cosmetic Nurses can use laser treatments to reverse the effects of sun exposure and to treat various skin conditions including acne scarring. Our laser hair removal treatments are a popular cosmetic rejuvenation procedure to reduce unwanted hair growth and reduce shaving rash. The laser is attracted to the melanin in the hair follicle where it is converted to heat energy that can destroy the stem cell in the hair follicle and prevent its future growth. The skin also takes up part of the laser energy, but it has the ability to lose heat quicker than the hair follicle, and is left intact. As a rule, people with darker hair and lighter skin are easier to treat, as there is a greater differential between the amount of melanin in the skin and hair.

It’s important to note that we do not use IPL (intense pulsed light) as it isn’t specific to hairs and can adversely affect the skin around the treatment area. IPL is not as effective as the laser machines we use because they don’t emit specific wavelengths of light.
