Osmosis has a different focus than most skincare lines; as it believes in creating a partnership with the skin. This partnership includes utilising ingredients that the skin recognises, maintaining the epidermal barrier while focusing most of its attention on the dermis, virtually eliminating inflammation during repair and feeding the skin through increasing blood flow.

The combination of these strategies in conjunction with it’s unique ability to penetrate the skin without harming it make this line the best in the world at restoring skin health and returning it to a more youthful state.

Osmosis is an all-natural, artificial preservative (paraben), colour and fragrance free line that is specifically designed to calm (not cause) inflammation while maintaining epidermal integrity to maximise and focus the skins repair efforts on pre-existing conditions without creating new ones.

Ingredient penetration is the next emphasis of Osmosis and it should be the first question anyone asks about their skin care line. There is significant research showing that most skin care has a penetration rate of 2%. Many people think that acidic creams and serums penetrate better but that is not true according to independent studies which means 98% of all of the ingredients out there are wasted if a line does not have an effective absorption strategy. Osmosis has the most advanced delivery system available, phosphatidylcholine liposomes (the same material is in our skins cell walls), which are proven in research to increase penetration 1000%. Again, Osmosis is able to do this with an ingredient that is recognized by the skin and restores barrier health while providing remarkable penetration support.

Ageing and many skin conditions are worsened by the decline in blood flow that tends to start in our mid-twenties. Blood flow is the skins only source of food and immune support (antioxidants, enzymes, proteins, lipids, immune cells). Osmosis uses 8 different dermal stimulators and other ingredients that work with the skin to increase circulation and nutrient supply. The other shortage that occurs with loss of blood flow is in our protective antioxidant base… as we get older, we receive fewer antioxidants to protect us. Osmosis utilizes the skins strongest and most active antioxidants (17 of them) to keep the focus on repair and remodeling of existing conditions by reducing free radical damage seen daily through environmental, food and sun related trauma.

To summarise, Osmosis is cruelty free, paraben free, artificial fragrance, colour and additive free. It is water-soluble, plant based and uses more active ingredients per serum than any other line in the world. Osmosis ingredients are chirally corrected (whenever possible) and it targets the dermis because that is the only place that significant ageing occurs. Omosis protects the epidermis (this is extremely rare in today’s skin care market) because that is critical to the health and efficiency of the skin. Also, better than anyone else in
the world, it penetrates these wonderful ingredients into the deep epidermis and dermis so that they can go to work to restore your skins beauty, youth and luster. Chronic exfoliation ages the skin.

This concept is based on a series of simple truths. The body makes several layers of stratum corneum using keratin filled cells called corneocytes that we lovingly refer to as dead. For some reason we have been convinced that their existence is a mistake and therefore we follow the commonly stated belief that the skin needs exfoliation help. The top epidermal layers are critical to out health and survival and they do not need to be exfoliated. The epidermis slows down for the same reason the dermis thins, the skin is starved for nutrition. Everyday the skin is bombarded with nutritional demands and free radical from diet, stress and the sun. When we are young, our dermal blood supply (which also feeds the epidermis) keeps up with the workload. As we get older, the amount of blood supply declines which forces the skin to make some hard choices. We know the dermis thins about 1% per year and yet it will not let the epidermis thin at all (due to risk of infection/death) so it slows the turnover rate in response to the lack of nutritional/immune support). In other words, the skin is starved and it accommodates to keep from completely falling apart. Most of the world addresses the slowdown by damageing the epidermis (exfoliation) which compromises the health of the skin (see
benefits of barrier health restoration) and forces the dermis to divert scarce resources to fix the barrier as soon as possible. This means that the very thing that caused dermal thinning,
nutritional/antioxidant deficiencies, is being made worse by new demands we are placing on the skin as a result of epidermal damage. Therefore the long-term result of chronic exfoliation is greater starvation that leads to more rapid dermal thinning.
