Hello, I was just messaging to ask how old you have to be to get microdermabrasion?
What is the after care? And how effective is it on sun damaged/acne scarred/freckled skin? Thank you
You can be younger than 18, however, there needs to be a significant reason to have it done if this is the case, and you will need parental consent. Microdermabrasion is a gentle treatment, and sun protection is the main thing that needs to be attended to post-treatment. It is a very mildly effective treatment on sun damage/scarring/freckles. I would suggest a laser such as the Fraxel laser, should you wish to treat the problems you mentioned. This will get you better results , but also will cause a few days downtime per session. Again parental consent is required if you are under 18.
