Hi I was wondering if bruising is common after liposuction under the chin, also I have read there is swelling ,is swelling usually a week or so, thank you.
Usually, we use an elastic bandage to strap the treated areas. This pushes bruising and swelling away from those areas. What can happen however, is that the bruising moves to the adjacent area (usually very low down on the neck near the collarbone), and it isn’t as obvious there. Swelling in the neck area is the least out of all areas post liposuction as it is above the heart and swelling naturally goes down within a few days.
