How long does it take to clear off acne scars? How much will that cost all together?
Acne scarring is a problem that is difficult to completely eradicate. Through the use of lasers, or other mechanical treatments such as skin needling, it is possible to stimulate new collagen production to lift up indented acne scars, but most treatments require several sessions, and cannot bring the skin back up to the pre-scarring level. Popular options for the treatment of acne scarring include; Fraxel laser, Carbon dioxide laser (both fractional and non-fractional), and skin needling.
Costs depend on the treatment undertaken, but in many cases there is eligibility for rebates through Medicare, and often through the Medicare Safety Net.
