I got facial pigmentation from my pregnancies. My youngest is two and a half and it is still there after several attempts of using different creams? Which procedure would you recommend? I would prefer less visits and longer down time – however would like the procedure with the greatest success!
We have had good results with the Fraxel laser for the treatment of melasma. If you prefer fewer visits , this is probably the quickest way to achieve a lightening of your melasma. The downtime is usually 5 days, and usually we recommend an initial 2 sessions, spaced 2 weeks apart. Maintenance of the reduction in melasma is also just as important as the initial treatment, and this usually consists of daily sunscreen use and a lightening agent.
