Can dermal fillers be used to assist with droopy upper eyelids? my upper eyelids (area closest to nose) tend to droop (one side more than the other) so i would like to know if the dermal filler can act like a non-surgical eyebrow lift? thanks
Although many practitioners do believe in using dermal fillers to help to ‘lift’ eyelids or eyebrows, it is something that must be done with careful consideration. If one looks at an ideal youthful eyelid/eyebrow, one will notice that the eyebrows are not particularly raised or flared, but rather flat. Also the eyelid/eyebrow area are very nicely padded and soft. As one gets older, this fat is lost, and the skin becomes redundant on the upper eyelid. Sometimes filling the upper eyelid can simply increase the heaviness of this area, and make things look worse. Done well, it can be used to pad the eyelid/eyebrow area and rejuvenate. I don’t believe that you actually get a ‘lift’ , but as stated previously, that is not necessarily the hallmarks of a youthful eyelid/brow.
