Hi, I am 27years old and I had temporary fillers for lip enhancement about 2 years ago. It looked amazing however it only lasted about 2 months. How long roughly are they supposed to last for? Also, do they need to be topped up? Is it dangerous to have 3 monthly fillers?
This can sometimes occur with temporary fillers. Their longevity will depend on a number of factors, including; the method of injection, the number of previous injections, the amount injected, your natural metabolism of the filler etc.
I find that future treatments tend to improve, but not always by a lot. There is no danger in having fillers every 3 months.
I would encourage you to be very careful before considering a ‘permanent’ filler, as there are definitely more potential problems, including; product misplacement, increased infection risk, migration, or excessive amounts of product injected.
