Hi. I would like to inquire about Acne-scarring… I have never had a full acne breakout, however now that Im in my late 20’s I’ve experienced consistent, one off breakouts for the past 8 years. This has left scarring. I would like to know what is the best form of treatment with minimal down time but most effective. I know a consultation is always best, but I also wanted to get an idea of sessions and price before I decide. Many thanks, Alondra
Hi Alondra, the first step is to control your acne , even though it is not a big breakout every time, these minor breakouts are still causing scarring. We could do this with some advice on the best topical treatments for you, as well as some medication such as antibiotics or the oral contraceptive pill.
For treatment of the actual scarring, a treatment such as Fraxel would be good for someone of your age group, and it doesn’t require much downtime per session. The cost per session can be found here;
and usually the more sessions you have the better the results.
