Question:

How effective is the microdermabrasion treatment? I have acne scarring but isn’t really bad and I have had other quotes on getting treatment but I am more interested getting the microdermabrasion done. Can I get a consultation before deciding?

Answer:

Microdermabrasion is of very low effectiveness in the treatment of acne scarring, even mild acne scarring. To remodel and improve scarring, usually a more effective laser treatment such as Fraxel laser is required. It is possible to have light treatments also with the Fraxel to reduce downtime. A consultation about the options is required before treatment.
