How much would be the cost for full skin acne scarring treatment?? Can medicare card covers it all????
There are a lot of options for the treatment of acne scarring, and the best option for you will depend on the degree of acne scarring as well as your skin type. There are laser treatments such as Fraxel or carbon dioxide/erbium treatments. Skin needling is also an effective non-laser treatment for acne scarring that is good for those with olive or darker skins also.
Medicare rebates are available for (non-fractional) carbon dioxide laser / erbium laser treatments (item number 45025 and 45026). Also the medicare safety net applies to these treatments; once you exceed your medicare threshold (usually $1000 for those not on a health care card or pension), you receive an 80% rebate on the cost of the treatment and any other medical treatments for that calendar year.
