I had IPL done on my underarms and has considerably reduced the hair after 8 sessions. However I ended up with chicken like skin. Is there a way to fix this and lighten my skin? I have darker pigmentation on my underarms as compared to my overall skin color and am I not obese either. I don’t use deodorant either as I don’t smell either. Would laser help? Would appreciate your advice

Did the skin look like this prior to the laser hair removal when you waxed ? The darker pigmentation in your underarms is usually called acanthosis nigricans. It is a common condition, and can be treated to some extent with exfoliants, topical retinoids and lightening agents. Laser doesn’t tend to help this condition, as it usually occurs in those with olive or darker skin types, and laser tends to affect normal skin as well as the darker areas in this case.
