Question:

I have large pores. Which treatment provides best outcome for decreasing pore size and refining skin?

Answer:

Pore size is a function of oil production. Oil secretion is difficult to change in most cases, unless medications like isotretinoin (Roaccutane) are used.

However, certain skin care products containing alpha-hydroxy acids, and topical retiniods can help improve the quality of the skin and reduce the apparent size of pores.

Also, pores tend to get bigger with age as the skin becomes less elastic, and sometimes a procedure such as carbon dioxide laser resurfacing can help in these contracting these pores
