I was wondering about the average cost of treating gynecomastia through surgery? also a doctor has determined a hormonal imbalance is the cause of my gynecomastia, what procedures will be used to balance my hormones out?
We need to perform a set of blood tests to measure hormone levels such as testosterone, oestrogen, progesterone, prolactin, FSH, and LH. These will give us an indication if there is any underlying hormonal disturbance causing the problem. Also some medications (such as hair loss medication) can also cause disturbances in hormonal levels. An ultrasound of the chest is also required to determine the level of glandular tissue present. Removal of this glandular tissue and fat can be done with surgical excision and liposuction (in the same operation). Costs are on this page;
