Victorian Cosmetic Institute offers a variety of different consultation types from skin consultations with our Skin Therapists to consultations with our Cosmetic Nurses, Cosmetic Doctors and Cosmetic Surgeons.

Skin Consultations

Our team of Skin Therapists are led by a department director with 18 years of skin therapy experience. Extensively trained in Oxford and London, she was a lecturer in Dermal Therapies, achieving a Grade 1 certification – the highest teaching accolade awarded in the UK. In addition, she has a Bachelor of Skin Science and a Masters in Dermal Therapy.

Skin Consultations at Victorian Cosmetic Institute are designed to provide a thorough assessment of all areas of your skin, a transdermal analysis using the latest technology and software in the industry, revealing areas of concern, discovering underlying causes of skin conditions and providing treatment plans. At Victorian Cosmetic Institute we are driven by science, research and results, continually redefining cosmetic excellence.

What to expect in your consultation:

  • A thorough consultation, initial photographs to track your progress and facial cleanse.
  • Your consultation assesses your skin including a complete history and current product regime review.
  • Your face will be cleansed for deep analysis of your skin using touch, natural light assessment and using a woods lamp or skin scope to reveal conditions hidden to the naked eye.
  • The categories of your skin assessment include, but are not limited to, texture, tone, pores, pigmentation, oiliness, breakouts, acne, congestion, dryness, redness, ageing, volume, thickened skin, dehydration, dark spots, sun damage and more.
  • Your therapist will identify your concerns and causes. They will tailor an individual skin care plan to suit your needs which can include at home skin treatment regimes, in clinic treatment plans and pricing breakdowns in a take home quote.

Our Cosmetic Doctors have experience across a wide variety of cosmetic procedures and skin treatments for non-surgical cosmetic treatment. Consultations for rejuvenation, enhancement or medical concerns with our Cosmetic Doctors enable you to receive a tailored medical treatment plan.

  • A detailed case history relevant to your presenting concern.
  • Your Cosmetic Doctor will perform a thorough assessment and identify the underlying causes and treatments available.
  • Dependent on your concern you may be requested to have pathology testing done or be provided with scripts to address internal causes.

Our team of surgeons, Dr Gavin Chan and Dr David Topchian  have years experience with thousands of surgical cases between them. They are specialists in their areas of surgery, pioneering new techniques and utilising the latest technologies.

What to expect in your consultation:

  • A thorough medical case history and assessment of your concerns.
  • A detailed discussion regarding your treatment options and details about the procedures.
  • Your area of concern will be assessed in a private setting with optimal discretion.
  • Individually tailored quote breaking down the various elements of the procedure.

What happens if you want to book your procedure:

If you decide you want to book in to have the surgery your Surgeon will direct you to their surgical bookings coordinator.  Things that may be part of your surgery information forms:

  • Pre and post procedure care instructions.
  • Pre operative appointment with one of our nurses.
  • Date, time and location details for your procedure.
  • Post operative appointments with Surgeon, nurses and therapists (depending on the procedure type will determine the post operative care required)
  • Scripts for pre and/or post procedure medications.
