Janine Vayler (Registered Nurse, Director of Nursing)
Janine is a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience in the health industry, in the areas of perioperative nursing, education and management. She started in the cosmetic industry in 2012 and is passionate about all aspects of the cosmetic industry and in particular, anti wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. Janine has a compassionate nature, which ensures every patient is cared for and treated with the highest standards.
At Victorian Cosmetic Institute Janine performs anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments. She is a perfectionist in her outcomes and her patients love the way they look and feel after seeing Janine.
Lizzie Davies (Registered Nurse, Cosmetic Nurse, Diploma of Cosmetic Medicine)
Lizzie Davies has a highly developed skill in cosmetic treatments which she gained from her Diploma of Cosmetic Medicine and 10 years experience with cosmetic procedures such as anti-wrinkle injections. She is a registered allied health practitioner of the American Board of Anti-ageing and Regenerative Medicine. Her many years aesthetic experience along with her involvement in anti-ageing and regenerative medicine makes her exceptionally qualified and passionate about the way you look and feel.
Laura Cheung (Registered Nurse, Cosmetic Nurse, post grad Dermal Therapy)
Laura Cheung has been working as a neonatal intensive care nurse in Melbourne and London for 20 years. Her interest in skin was sparked on a rotation in the eczema ward at the Royal Children’s Hospital and further by caring for an infant in Hong Kong utilizing both Eastern and Western treatments. She has gained post graduate qualifications in Dermal Therapy and has training in a variety of modalities including cosmetic injectables, laser and skin care products Laura’s passion is not only to help clients look and feel their best but ultimately to provide individualised care that promotes beautiful and healthy skin. Her gentle touch from years of nursing premature babies ensures the treatment experience is a positive one.
Jenni Aguilar (Registered Nurse, Cosmetic/Theatre Nurse)
Jenni is a Division 1 nurse, who studied at Deakin University. She has a wide range of experience in the medical, surgical and paediatric settings, but specialized in Emergency for 5 years, before deciding to move into Cosmetics. Jenni loves interacting with the clients and is passionate about making her patients’ experience at VCI worthwhile. Outside of work, Jenni also enjoys dancing. She has been committed to Calisthenics for 20 years, competing herself, as well as coaching girls between the ages of 10-30 years old throughout the year.
Tekah Houston (EN Div 2, Cosmetic/Theatre Nurse)
Tekah is a Division 2 Enrolled Nurse and also holds a Diploma in Beauty Therapy. Working as an assistant manager at Ella Bache for 6 years Tekah’s love for skin and cosmetics grew and wanted to advance into the Cosmetic Nursing and Surgical side. Tekah has a passion for health and fitness including competing nationally in Sport Aerobics for 8 years as well as directing her own club and is also a competitive bikini model.
Monika Currie (Registered Nurse, Cosmetic/Theatre Nurse)
Monika is a registered division one nurse who has over four years of surgical nursing, in particular plastics and cosmetics. She has experience in all aspects of the Victorian Cosmetic Institute and has a strong passion for non surgical rejuvenation including lasers, dermal fillers and anti wrinkle treatments.
Monika also really enjoys nursing in theatre where she gets to meet with patients prior to their surgery, and seeing their journey from admissions, assisting in theatre, right through to their recovery and after care appointments. Her warm manner, caring nature and patient focused care is appreciate by her patients

Michelle Covey (Registered Nurse, Cosmetic Theatre Nurse)
Michelle works alongside our Cosmetic Surgeons in our Day Surgery assisting with procedures such as liposuction, breast augmentation.
Michelle has had over 17 years Theatre experience, completing her Post Graduate in Perioperative Nursing at Deakin University. After completing her Graduate Year at Royal North Shore Hospital Theatres in Sydney she moved to Melbourne where she went on to work in many hospitals and operating theatres, including at The Alfred and then The Avenue Hospital, before coming to join us at VCI.
Michelle enjoys working closely with our Cosmetic Surgeons, being directly involved in our patient’s cosmetic surgery journey and witnessing the positive impact that cosmetic surgery procedures have on patient’s lives.
Emily Ray Famularo (Registered Nurse, Cosmetic/Theatre Nurse)
Emily is a Registered Division 1 Nurse who completed her Nursing Degree through Monash University.
Emily is experienced in the fields of community, theatre, surgical, cosmetic and medical nursing with a keen passion for cosmetic medicine.
Her experience in the aesthetic nursing industry includes laser based therapies, plastic surgery and cosmetic injections such as anti-wrinkle injections and dermal filler. Emily practices with the ethos of empathy, careful facial assessment, a keen eye for symmetry and natural results. “Achieving high patient satisfaction and trust is the absolute reward and makes my role as a nurse worthwhile”.
Emily also loves helping patients to develop home-based skin care regimes with the use of cosmeceutical skin products to complement and support their in clinic treatments.
