Question:

Can surgery be an alternative for removing scars?
I have this awlful scars on my leg, have tried all kinds of treatment but it as if i have done nothing. Pls help

Answer:

Surgical removal of scars can be performed, but there is a risk that the scars will not improve or be made worse. Often a z-plasty is performed where a scar is cut out and restitched. The surgeon usually avoids straight lines when making the cut so the eye doesn’t see it as easily.
