Another way we reduce the likelihood of bruising is to use cannulas instead of needles. Unlike needles, cannulas have a round end on their tip so they cannot pierce the skin. The round tip of the cannula helps to push any important structures (including veins) away so you will get less swelling and bruising.

We prefer to use cannulas instead of needles because they provide us with a more even and smooth result. This approach means our patients have less downtime, less bruising, and a faster recovery period.
